Emergent Coils offers a wide variety of vertical fan coil units, horizontal fan coil units and belt-driven air handlers.
Fan Coil Information
Fan coil units are used for heating and cooling requirements in office buildings, resorts, hotels, motels, apartments, condos, schools, dorms, hospitals and other multi-unit properties. We provide fan coil units for new installations and replacements for old, inefficient fan coil units. Our fan coil units are ETL and AHRI certified.
Standalone fan coil units have a motor, blower, coil and drain pan. These self-contained fan coil units are perfect for areas that aren’t connected to larger air conditioning and heating systems. Fan coil units are also designed to work as part of a larger HVAC system, and can be monitored and controlled from a central location.
Fan Coil Vertical
We offer three types of vertical fan coil units – vertical wall mount, vertical closet and vertical stack. Vertical wall mount fan coil units are designed for exposed mounting, often placed under windowsills in offices and hotel rooms. Vertical closet fan coil units are perfect for high-static areas, and are usually hidden in utility rooms, closets, and locations with a ducted discharge. Vertical stack fan coil units are typically mounted onto or inside walls, with sound shields for quieter operation. Some vertical stack fan coil units are master/slave combinations, with two separate fan coil units designed to work together.
Vertical Wall Mount
Vertical wall mount fan coil units are designed for exposed mounting, often placed under windowsills in offices and hotel rooms. Whether attached directly onto or inside the wall, the floor-mounted vertical series units accommodate a wide range of configuration requirements. The low-static (up to .25 ESP) fan coil unit comes with a coil, blower/motor assembly with quick-connect plug and a galvanized steel, powder-coated epoxy drain pan covered with ?-inch thick insulation. The galvanized steel cabinet is insulated with ½-inch thick, over three pound density, neoprene-coated fiberglass. Six standard models are available, ranging from 200-1,200 cubic feet per minute (CFM), along with four low-silhouette models (400-600 CFM).
High-Performance Vertical Closet
For high-static environments, the high-performance vertical cased/closet series is a great choice. These high-static (up to .50 ESP), ducted vertical fan coil units range from 400-2,200 CFM, and come in a wide range of cabinet styles and coil options. Most cased/closet fan coil units come with a coil, easy slide-out blower/motor assembly with quick-connect plug and a galvanized steel, powder-coated epoxy drain pan covered with ?-inch thick insulation.
Vertical Stack Fan Coil Units
Vertical stack fan coil units are typically mounted onto or inside walls, with sound shields for quieter operation. These low-static (up to .25 ESP) vertical stack fan coil units, with a draw-through design, provide quiet, efficient performance and individual thermostat control. Five models are available, including Master and Slave and Riser TwinPacks options, ranging from 300-1,200 CFM.
Fan Coil Horizontal
Horizontal fan coil units are designed for flush-mount ceiling applications or mounting above ceilings in closets, hallways, and bathroom areas. Materials typically used for construction include heavy-gauge galvanized steel, copper tubing and aluminum fins.
Horizontal Ceiling Mount
Whether mounted directly onto or inside the ceiling, the horizontal ceiling mount fan coil units accommodate a wide range of configuration requirements. The low-static (up to .25 ESP) fan coil units comes with a coil, blower/motor assembly with quick-connect plug and a galvanized steel, powder-coated epoxy drain pan covered with ?-inch thick insulation. High Performance Horizontal Ceiling Mount
High-performance horizontal concealed/ceiling mount fan coil units are designed for high-static environments. The high-static (up to .50 ESP) fan coil units come with a coil, blower/motor assembly with quick-connect plug and a galvanized steel, powder-coated epoxy drain pan covered with ?-inch thick insulation. The galvanized steel plenum or cabinet is insulated with ½-inch thick, over three pound density, neoprene-coated fiberglass. Nine models are available, ranging from 400-2,200 CFM, and come in a wide range of cabinet styles and coil options.
Horizontal DX Ceiling Mount
Space-saving DX fan coil units are ideal for installation above drop ceilings or tight spaces in new construction or as a replacement. Units operate with R410A or R22 refrigerant and are available with hydronic heat and/or electric heat with options of 1 thru 9kW. The cooling coil has a piston-type metering device or an optional factory or field installed TXV.
Fan Coil Belt Driven
Belt-driven air handlers are available in horizontal and vertical options, for both hydronic and direct expansion (DX) applications. The draw-through designs are available for either indoor or outdoor applications and are equipped with a blower that can handle up to 3.75 ESP. These dependable air handlers can be ordered as standard or double-wall units, with or without perforation. Four models are available, ranging from 400-12,000 cubic feet per minute (CFM).
Fan Coil Performance
Coil performance varies greatly from application to application. Flow rates and temperatures for both fin and tube sides will greatly influence the performance characteristics for any given coil.
